Enclosures and cases
Sheet-metal and fabricated housings for electronics, instruments and equipment. Access panels, cable entries, venting and mounting worked out before anyone cuts metal.
Product design · Sketch to factory
We design physical products end to end: the idea, the engineering, the files a factory can cut from, and the visuals that sell it. Parametric models written as code, reviewed for manufacture, handed over as a pack you own.
Live model · AX-8
A concept heavy-lift drone, modelled part by part. Explode it, x-ray it, follow the harness.
AX-8 · Heavy-lift quad
Hovering on its own. Drag to orbit, pinch or scroll to zoom.
Isolate a subsystem
This browser cannot run WebGL 2, so this is a still of the model.
01 · Scope
Metal, fabricated and flat-pack products, from one-off rigs to production runs. The harder the constraints, the better.
01
Sheet-metal and fabricated housings for electronics, instruments and equipment. Access panels, cable entries, venting and mounting worked out before anyone cuts metal.
02
Holding and alignment fixtures for assembly lines and workshops, designed around the parts they hold and the people who use them.
03
Welded and bolted frames, brackets and multi-part assemblies, with a bill of materials that matches the drawings line for line.
04
Products that ship flat and fold or bolt together. Flat patterns, bend order and hardware chosen for the fabricator you actually use.
05
A product that has already beaten two suppliers, a brief with numbers that do not add up, a part nobody will quote. Send it. That is the work we want.
02 · Method
No workshop of our own, on purpose. Software, simulation and AI-assisted engineering find most problems before a part exists, and partner shops make the prototypes that prove the rest.
The model is written as parametric code. Change the length, the sheet gauge or the hole pattern and every drawing, flat pattern and BOM line regenerates from the same source. No stale drawings.
Every part is reviewed against your fabricator’s real limits: bend radii, K-factor, sheet sizes, tooling, weld access, finish. We ask for their machine list before we start.
Stress and deflection checks with finite element analysis, tolerance stack-ups, clearances for moving parts and heat paths, all run on the model before anything is made. Cheap mistakes stay on the screen.
We order laser-cut, bent, machined and 3D printed prototypes from established fabrication services in India and Shenzhen, straight from the pack, then check them against the model and feed every difference back into the code.
A decisions log records every trade-off and every figure we changed, with the reason. On the transport case it caught numbers in the original brief that could not be built.
03 · Process
Products usually break at the handoff between the designer and the factory. We own that handoff, so it has an owner.
What it must do, carry, survive and cost. Your volumes, your fabricator, your deadline. We write down the constraints before we draw.
Sketches and quick 3D studies to settle the form and the layout. You choose a direction from renders, not guesswork.
The parametric model, built as code, with assemblies, hardware and materials to EN, ISO or IS grades.
Design for manufacture with your fabricator. We fix what they would have charged you to fix.
STEP, DXF, drawings and BOM, versioned, so a fabricator can quote and cut from it.
Photoreal renders and a product film from the same model, for sales, investors and your store, before tooling is paid for.
04 · Deliverables
What you receive at the end. Every file is versioned and generated from one source model.
3D models of every part and assembly, readable by any CAD or CAM system.
Laser and punch ready, with bend lines, bend directions and part labels.
PDF drawings with dimensions, tolerances, bend tables, hardware callouts and finishes.
Every part, fastener and finish with material grade, quantity and supplier notes.
What changed, why, and who agreed. The record your next engineer will thank you for.
The parametric code itself. You own it and can regenerate the pack without us.
Photoreal stills and a short product film lit like a film shot, made from the same geometry.
CaseParametric CAD · DFM · Rev B
Code-driven design for a manufacturable transport product.
Parametric models exported to STEP AP242, DXF flat patterns and a bill of materials, with EN/ISO material grades and a design for manufacture review. The decisions log caught figures in the original brief that could not be built, before they reached the fabricator.
05 · Specialists
Injection-mould tooling, certification testing such as IP ratings and drop tests, and PCB layout are specialist trades. When a product needs them, we bring in people who do them every day, brief them from our model, and stay responsible for the handoff. You still deal with one team.
06 · Start
A napkin drawing, a photo of a prototype, a supplier drawing that went wrong. Tell us what it must do and roughly how many you need. Most first factory packs take 2 to 4 weeks, quoted as a fixed fee after the first call.
